📰 Stage recap

Stage 3 from Gruissan to Font-Romeu, 166.7 km and the first summit finish of this Vuelta, had no winner.

Six riders had gone clear in the morning, with Ethan Hayter picking up points high on the road. Then rain, thunder and hail hit the first major climb, on the Col de Mont-Louis. Tadej Pogačar waved the peloton to a halt, riders sheltered at the roadside and were then gathered into a hotel near the summit. The race jury neutralised the stage, then cancelled it for good.

The organisers were clear: no winner, no podium ceremony.

Among the picks that were made, Primož Roglič and Tadej Pogačar were the two names that came up most often for the stage win. They looked well placed for a summit finish, but nothing could be settled: fittingly, it was Pogačar himself who called for the race to stop.

Because the stage was cancelled, every pick on this stage is worth zero points. Your choices are still visible, they simply do not count. Nobody gains, nobody loses. See you on stage 4, in Andorra.

🔒 Picks locked: the stage has started, you can see everyone's predictions.
